Megan + Greg – Gilmer, Texas Wedding

Meagan is one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen. (AND sweetest!) I’ve been blessed with quite a few emotional weddings. I love those types of weddings. By emotional, I DO mean tears.. but tears of happiness. :) I’ve been blessed with more of these types of emotional couples/families/weddings than I can count… but, I can count the ones that made me tear up. This was one of them.

Meagan and Greg are SO much alike and I LOVE how much in love they are with one another. There were so many sweet moments throughout this day that should melt your heart, and I hope that their pictures can help you see just what an amazing little family they are going to be. Meagan and Greg, thank you so much for making me a part of your wedding day. You guys are going to have an amazing life. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you both. :)

Their first look was actually late morning. The sun was high, there weren’t any trees around and it had rained (A LOT) the day before. We decided to stay on concrete.. and in the shade so they didn’t melt or were forced to squint the entire time. I thought we could grab some sweet, close shots under a little carport area off the side of the church. I never imagined I would have so many favorites from just those! :)

I LOVE this shot. :)

Earlier that morning Meagan had given her mother a handkerchief that she had ordered. It was embroidered with a sweet message, especially for her. Right before the ceremony, Meagan pulled her dad aside and gave him his gift.

She ordered a handkerchief for him as well. Also, embroidered with a message especially for him…. from his only daughter. I hadn’t actually seen him tear up until this point. But while reading it, he got choked up… and lay it down so he could reach for a tissue in his pocket. ;) This next series are some of my all time favorite wedding pictures. :)

I get chills every time I look at this picture. :)

THIS was my favorite. In with the handkerchief was a Discover card (which at first I had thought was a gift card) when actually it was a credit card that her parents had given her years ago. She said, “I guess I should give this back now.” It’s also the last thing with her maiden name on it.

Meagan’s grandfather officiated the ceremony. :)

Fathers and daughters….

Mothers and sons….

Congrats again guys!! :)
