Kacy + Jakus – Oklahoma Wedding
I met Kacy a few years ago when she attended my first group workshop. Although I hadn’t met Jakus before the wedding day, I felt like I knew him. We had spoken through email several times when he’d email asking advice on what lens he could purchase to surprise Kacy with, etc. :) I could tell he was a good one right away. ;) I could also tell how much he cared for her.. and vice versa. I was thrilled when Kacy contacted me about photographing their wedding.. and it did not disappoint. It was one of the most emotional, sweet weddings I’ve ever witnessed. So much love surrounding the 2 of them by all of their family and friends. It was a perfect day.
Kacy and Jakus had an AMAZING ceremony. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. I think the officiant said it best when he said “God can come at you anywhere.. at a wedding.. in a feed store..” Which is where their wedding took place.. in a feed store in a small town in Oklahoma. There was a message given during the ceremony as well as a worship song and in place of a unity candle or sand, Kacy and Jakus chose to wash one another’s feet during the ceremony, as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet– symbolizing that they are vowing in front of their family and friends and God, to serve each other humbly. Several moments during this day that gave me chills.. and this was one of them. One of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever been a part of.
Congratulations again Kacy and Jakus!!
