JHicks Photography + Tara Swain Photography = greatness ;)
So…. this was a first- me photographing… a photographer!! My friend Jess came in from Louisiana and we spent the whole day having our own little workshop! It was SO much fun and we definatley taught each other a thing or two.
During our workshop (which by the way is now commissioned as JT Workshop 2008 ;) ) we were also able to take each others head shots. This was definitely an experience! I can SAFELY say.. I would MUCH rather be BEHIND that camera, rather than in front of it. In front of that camera, I was dumbfounded. It’s like trying to learn to write left handed, when you’ve been right handed your entire life. Jessica is a WONDERFUL photographer… but if she got one good shot of me, she has GOT to be the greatest photographer in the world! Because I can tell you that it was seriously a chore! haha! I definitelyhave a new respect for my clients!!! :)
We both got some shots with our Shootsacs, which we both LOVE. I’ve had mine for awhile, but had just gotten a new cover to add to my quickly expanding collection.. and Jess got her new Shootsac just in time for our little photo shoot! (My pics will come later…)
It was a full day.. including Jess seeing a Bois d’arc tree and horse apples for the first time.. (which she was SO excited about that I thought she might take a few home with her..), me stepping ON a horse apple and falling over backwards (Jess didn’t have her camera ready at that moment.. thankfully!!) and a lunch a La Familia! :) This is definately the beginning of an ongoing tradition now!
SO– here are just a few of some of my favorite shots of Jess from that day! She is currently working on her new awesome blog.. AND website, which I am VERY proud to say… will include a few of these shots! :) She has yet to unveil them, as she isn’t finished working on them.. but they ARE coming!
Opossum LOVES Jess!
Jess - Yes, we sure are GREAT together!
