Cinderella, Cinderella..

This was not planned. Briley was helping me put some laundry on to wash this morning and I just happened to have my camera bag on the kitchen table, which never happens. (It’s almost always upstairs on my desk.) Since before Briley turned 2, one of her “chores,” was to drag her little hamper into the laundry room and empty it out whenever I asked. She loves doing it. She also loves for me to let her push the buttons to actually start the washer. Now-a-days, my child is dressed like a princess at any given moment. This is our life right now- anything and everything princess. This is also how you would find her if you just showed up at our house one day. Wild, bed hair, one of her many princess dresses, matching shoes and a tiara. Normally, she’s not a big fan of me taking her picture while she’s doing something.. but apparently, being completely decked out in Disney Princess attire, changes things. Once she saw me, she immediately plopped down by the washer and “posed.” I had to actually tell her to go back to what she was doing. ;)

The irony.. I honestly didn’t even think about the whole Cinderella thing until I was looking at the images on the computer… and I literally laughed out loud. I couldn’t help but think how funny it was. ;)

Cinderella, Cinderella
All I hear is Cinderella, from the moment I get up
till shades of night are falling
There isn’t any letup, I hear them calling, calling
“Go up and do the attic and go down and do the cellar, you can do them
both together
Cinderella.”
How lovely it would be
if I could live in my fantasy
But in the middle of my dreaming
they’re screaming
at me
Cinderella
