Allison and Matt are SUCH a fun couple. I LOVE them. I’ve actually known them for several years. Allison and I became good friends when I was a sophomore and she was in the 8th grade. I laughed SO hard during their engagement session as we remembered old inside jokes and crazy things we did. It’s so crazy to think that in just a few short months, Allison and Matt will FINALLY be married. See, I remember  way before they even started dating. They went to the same church and were great friends. They were perfect for one another.. like they were made for one another. (I know how cheesy I sound, but it’s true!) Keep in mind that Allison was in the 8th grade; I can still hear Allison say, “Well, we will probably end up dating later on.. but we want to wait until we both start driving..” Needless to say, they didn’t make it that long.. as soon as Allison got her license, they made it official.. and they’ve been together ever since. :) They are so crazy and so much fun and I can’t wait until their wedding. :)

PS… There are no words to describe just how much we encountered during their session… first of all, the first set of them sitting in the car… no kidding, it was approximately 120 degrees IN that car. ;) So the smiles on their faces should be proof enough for you to understand JUST how much they love one another.. if they were willing to basically cook until I got my shots. ;) Then of course there were the chiggers, spiders, mosquitos, ants, alligator gar and basically any other bug you could possibly think of.. some of which zoned in on me.. and 2 weeks later, I still have the bites all around my ankles to prove it!! :P

I freaked when I saw this. We are old school. I actually remember when these were on the McDonald’s playgrounds. I PLAYED IN THESE!

Oh yes. They crawled in it. AND I got a video of it. ;) We were actually pretty concerned that we would have to cut it open to get them out, but they got out all on their own. ;)

I also have a video of Allison almost falling since every SINGLE rock was covered in slime. I take pictures first and THEN help you up. ;)

Just to give you a taste of what all we went through to get to this sweet spot.

This ring is very special. I have one exactly like it… for some odd reason we bought these YEARS ago in a gumball machine and then we wore them everywhere. I had completely forgotten about them until Allison pulled it out of her jewelry box! I immediately searched for mine HIGH AND LOW as soon as I got home.. of course most everything is boxed up so I didn’t find it, but I am determined to find it once we get unpacked into the new house. I couldn’t believe she brought it. :)

I know I have tons of old pictures of Allison and I from back in the day, but this is all I could find in an old file on my external hardrive. Prairiland prom.. I was a junior and Allison was a freshman. (We made fun of Allison because she smiles the EXACT same as she did all those years ago! ;)
