I adore this beautiful little family. I photographed their wedding 2 and a half years ago. They both come from big families and couldn’t wait to start a family of their own. Then they discovered Haleen suffers from PCOS, which was going to make it very difficult for them to conceive. There were so many times Haleen said she wanted to give up hope, but Josh wound’t let her. Now we are waiting on the arrival of their miracle baby.. Melody Hope. The friends and family of this sweet couple know just how much this baby is loved already. I cannot wait to meet their princess and photograph her first year!

Haleen and I talked ahead of time about her session and she had several ideas of things she wanted to do that represent them. Music, a book about PCOS that Haleen said she read cover to cover more times than she can remember, and a sign that hangs in her kitchen (which I’m sure you’ve all seen before.) Haleen said this sign has hung in her kitchen or so long.. and she would look at it and remind herself everyday to remain strong. She said there were several times she wanted to take it down and she felt like she wanted to give up, but Josh kept her strong and helped her hang in there. Haleen pulled this perfect little outfit together and wanted to recreate the sign that means to much to them.

Here are a few favorites from their maternity session. Miss Melody should be making her arrival this very week! So be sure and keep an eye out for her newborn session. I’ve gotten SO many ADORABLE newborn girl items in here lately, I just cannot wait to use them with Melody Hope!! :)
