One of Briley’s favorite things are books. She LOVES books. She brings them to me throughout the day and crawls up in my lap for me to read to her. But then the impatient side of her that she inherited from me comes out and she yanks it out of my hands and begins to “read” it to me instead. In the morning she reaches through her crib and pulls some of her books out of the basket on the floor next to her bed into the bed with her and looks through them. I can’t count the number of times I’ve come into her room to find her asleep on top of a book that she was “reading.” ;) She’s never been very laid back- she’s been going non-stop since the day she learned to ROLL around the floor. But one thing she will sit still for are books.. which is why a lot of times, I use THEM for props when I take her picture. ;) A couple of weeks ago she got a new book- The Poky Little Puppy.. and I felt the need to take her out and grab a couple of shots with it.. just now getting around to getting some of these on the blog- but I think these are some of my all time favorites. :)

..and THIS is why my child was wearing a hat. It was more of a necessity than it was an accessory. Poor baby has my hair.. and it’s to the point that I can hardly do anything with it!
