3 days and over 900 miles later…

It has been a BUSY couple of days! First off my good friend Jess and I decided to go to a workshop in Lubbock. We started from FW and headed toward Amarillo. We were planning on visitng Cadillac Ranch and then driving into Lubbock. HOWEVER.. my Tom Tom navigation system which had yet to fail me UNTIL NOW, decided to take us on a little adventure. We ended up in Oklahoma! Yeap. A trip that SHOULD have taken 4 1/2 hours took over 9 HOURS!!! We were extremely delierious by the time we reached Lubbock. It wasn’t all a loss though… while still on the road in Oklahoma, I spotted a billboard in the middle of nowhere for a DRIVE THROUGH SAFARI ZOO! I have ALWAYS wanted to go to one of these things so I begged Jess to turn around!!! We spent a VERY eventful 2 hours at Arbuckle drive through safari and it was AWWWWEEESOME! We were like 2 kids. We knew it was going to be an exciting 7 mile drive through the park when only after the first 5 minutes we were surrounded by a pack of Alpaca’s who refused to let us leave. I brought my video camera along that B got me for Christmas and I got lots of hilarious videos from the zoo. I went through an snagged a few shots to blog but I have yet to look through everything because as soon as I got home from Lubbock I got sick. :(

Once we got BACK to Texas.. we found CAMEL’S! They were just in a pasture on the side of the road! How random!? So we saw camels in 2 different states in the same day. That has to be a record.

Once we FINALLY made it to Lubbock we had an awesome time during our workshop with Lauren Clark. Here are a few of my favorite shots from our session with our models, who rocked it by the way.
